In-Person Student Loan Event - Powered by Oakland County +Savi

April is Financial Literacy Month, and from 6 to 7 p.m. on April 2, Oakland County residents and county employees are invited to learn more about how they can relieve their student debt through a program called Savi. The county is providing free access to student debt assistance and education to student loan borrowers through this service for one year.

Savi's Chief Borrower Advocate, Lindsay Clark, will visit Oakland County to host an in-person session with Oakland County residents and employees. Register for this event to learn:

  • The latest student loan policy updates under the new federal administration
  • How these updates impact repayment and forgiveness programs
  • How to manage finances and planning for retirement, while dealing with your student loans
  • How you can get started with the free Savi tool

Savi will also offer individual consultations before and after the event on a walk-in basis, starting at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
