This session empowers participants with the knowledge and tools to take control of their credit health. Attendees will learn how to thoroughly review and interpret their credit reports, understand the factors that influence credit scores, and explore how those scores are calculated. The workshop will also cover common credit challenges—such as high debt, late payments, or limited credit history—and offer actionable strategies to improve credit standing over time. In addition, participants will gain a foundational understanding of key consumer protection laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), and Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), which safeguard consumer rights and ensure fair and accurate credit reporting.
