Genesis In-Home Care, LLC
I am the founder and active President and CEO of Genesis In-Home Care. I founded Genesis in 2012. Prior to Genesis, I worked for five years as a direct care worker and home manager with other agencies. As President and CEO, I provides strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board and other management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. In addition, I manage the overall operations and resources of the company.
I have been a guest presenter at multiple conferences sharing the philosophy of care to many audiences that includes: the Michigan Culture of Gentleness, Gentle Teaching International and Detroit-Wayne Mental Health Authority's Raising the Bar conferences.
I have an associate's degree in Applied Science with the focus in Mental Health/Social work. Also, I attend many leadership and development classes to enhance his skills. Also, I am an active member of the Partnership of Fair Caregiver Wages that advocates in Lansing for higher wages for support staff in the industry. In addition, I have served on numerous committees focused on bettering the future for the industry.
My professional accomplishments include:
- 2018 SBA-Michigan Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
- 2018 Crain's 20 In Their Twenties.
- 2017 SBA Emerging Leaders class graduate.
- 2014 Provider of the Year by the ARC of Oakland County.
I am married and have three children, two boys and a girl. I spend much time working out, reading, sports, outside activities and spending time with family and friends.
