Attorney and Shareholder
Maddin Hauser Roth & Heller

As a shareholder in the Corporate and Employment practice group, Brown looks for ways that the law can build business and protect people. Having worked first on behalf of employees and now on behalf of employers, she is dedicated to helping employers create welcoming and inclusive workplaces. She especially enjoys facilitating management training sessions, driven by the company's mission and vision, to help clients achieve enduring business outcomes.

"Making the right decision isn't just about following the law," she says. "It's about doing business well and helping people be their best."

With previous work experience at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, Brown's expertise touches on all areas of employment, including diversity and inclusion, hiring and termination, discrimination and harassment, management and executive training, and advice and counsel on best practices.

Before becoming an attorney, Brown was a documentarian filmmaker with Discovery Health, the History Channel and National Geographic, and shared stories about the universal experiences of life. This led her to seek a career in employment law.

Before settling in Michigan, Brown lived in Colorado, West Virginia and New York, earning degrees from Washington & Lee University in Virginia. The mother of two young daughters and wife to an attorney, Brown lives with her family in Bloomfield Hills.
