Workforce Development Specialist
Oakland County and Oakland County Michigan Works!

Collaboration with community organizations is key to the work that Elizabeth Rivard-Weston does with the Oakland County Workforce Development department.

Providing services to underserved communities like older job seekers, veterans, returning citizens and the structurally unemployed is the backbone of her job as the Program Coordinator with Oakland County Workforce Development and Oakland County Michigan Works! She has launched and coordinated several programs, including the Oakland County Business Resource Network, Clean Slate Expungement Program, and Advantage: Apprenticeships.

Before joining the county, Rivard-Weston worked with AmeriCorpsVISTA with the Washtenaw County Prisoner Reentry program, JVS Human Services, Automation Alley, and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

She received her bachelor's degree from Ferris State University and master's degree from Arizona State University. Outside of work, she is a volunteer with the Royal Oak Animal Shelter, helping plan fundraisers and community events and the Basenji Dog Rescue and Transport team. She also is a member of the Oakland County Equity Council.

Rivard-Weston lives in Royal Oak with her husband Blair.
