As a dedicated police officer and detective with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, William Aldridge Jr. has built a strong sense of community by engaging with residents, building trust, and addressing their concerns.
Born in Detroit, and the first in his family to attend college, Aldridge developed a passion for volunteer work and public service through his involvement with the Young Black Men Support Network and as a youth specialist in the Juvenile Division.
He’s been with the Sheriff's Office for 10 years, rising from patrol officer to detective. He is currently assigned to the Auto Theft Task Force, where he has been responsible for 85 arrests and the recovery of more than 200 stolen vehicles in his first year in that role. Aldridge also assists with law enforcement recruitment fairs, has been a field training officer, and participates in the annual Shop With A Cop and Adopt a Family events.
Aldridge earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and graduated from the Oakland Community College Police Academy in 2017. He lives in Wixom with his two daughters.
