How You Can Help
Volunteer
Dear Potential Volunteer,
Your role is important, not only to our staff but to our shelter animals as well. The information on page above will take you through the necessary steps to become a volunteer. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with OCAS & PAC. Review the positions listed on the Volunteer Application to see what best fits your desire. Please keep in mind that some positions are scheduled ones. Applications can be turned in at our facility or uploaded and e-mailed to: petvolunteer@oakgov.com.
Donate
Donations are essential to the success of the Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center. They are used to provide animals with the proper medical attention and everyday needs. Donations of supplies can be made at the Center or visiting our Amazon Wish List. Click this link for monetary donations.
Foster
In the spring and summer, numerous litters of kitten are born in a short period of time. We like to put them into foster homes and bring them back in over a period of time so we can properly prepare them for adoption. While some volunteers end up adopting their foster pets, please note that the foster program is not for people who want to "try out" an animal prior to adoption. It is intended to provide one-on-one attention in a home environment for animals, in order to best prepare them for adoption.
