Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Fall Native Plant Giveaway and Perennial Exchange

Oakland County Parks is partnering with the City of Novi to host its Annual Fall Native Plant Giveaway, offering a variety of sun-loving, shade-tolerant, drought-tolerant, and moisture-loving native plants for free. No registration is required. The Native Plant Giveaway will be located at the Township Hall building in Fuerst Park.

At the same time, the City of Novi will be hosting a Perennial Exchange. Bring in overgrown perennials such as milkweed, black-eyed Susans, asters, grasses and wildflowers to swap with fellow gardeners and take-home new additions for your garden. Registration is required for the exchange, sign up today!
