Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

World Migratory Bird Day Walk and Talk

Flock to search for feathered friends as they undertake their perilous journey south for the winter during the World Migratory Bird Day Walk and Talk. Learn why and how birds migrate, as well as how you can help them along the way. We’ll discuss citizen science projects and how you can become involved with eBird, FeederWatch and the Great Backyard Bird Count. Preregister by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours or register online.
